Ils\/elles travaillent sur les aptitudes de la vie quotidienne avec des exercices en rapport avec les capacit\u00e9s et les fonctions alt\u00e9r\u00e9es par la maladie ou \u00e0 la suite d\u2019un accident. Ils\/elles aident les personnes concern\u00e9es \u00e0 g\u00e9rer la maladie ou le traumatisme et \u00e0 faire face aux changements de la personnalit\u00e9 et aux sympt\u00f4mes affectifs. Ils\/elles encouragent les aptitudes sociales et la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019expression personnelle.<\/p>\n<h3>A quoi sert l\u2019ergoth\u00e9rapie?<\/h3>\n<p>L\u2019ergoth\u00e9rapie permet aux personnes atteintes de blessures et maladies neurologiques de reprendre des activit\u00e9s significatives. Pour une r\u00e9insertion r\u00e9ussie, il est essentiel de recouvrer les fonctions alt\u00e9r\u00e9es, de maintenir les fonctions existantes (par exemple dans le cas des maladies \u00e9volutives) et d\u2019apprendre des strat\u00e9gies de remplacement pour les fonctions ne pouvant pas \u00eatre r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9es. Les ergoth\u00e9rapeutes contribuent dans une mesure importante \u00e0 la r\u00e9insertion des personnes concern\u00e9es en proc\u00e9dant \u00e0 une \u00e9valuation et une adaptation de la situation professionnelle ou des conditions d\u2019habitation, de m\u00eame qu\u2019en pr\u00e9parant \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e dans la vie professionnelle avec un entra\u00eenement au travail.<\/p>\n<p>Les conseils en mati\u00e8re d\u2019ergonomie, l\u2019\u00e9valuation des moyens auxiliaires et l\u2019entra\u00eenement \u00e0 leur emploi, ainsi que la fabrication et l\u2019adaptation d\u2019attelles statiques et dynamiques font \u00e9galement partie des missions cl\u00e9s de l\u2019ergoth\u00e9rapie.
